Table Greetings
If I was playing and K arrived at my table, he would invariably greet me as follows:
K: hello will and other experts
opponents and partner: lol
I never knew quite how to respond. Sometimes:
will: yes the opps have congratulated me on some incredible plays but pd is not too pleased
or:
will: I heard a commotion in the lobby and realised you'd got stuck in the revolving door again K
Similarly my own greeting on joining a table of friends was sometimes:
will: i was in the lobby and heard screams coming from this room
friend: that would have been my partner
Someone joined and politely asked if they might be a spectator i.e. see all hands:
observer: mind if i spec?
will: ok but don't stand too close to me
