I was shocked and delighted by the rather direct talk of players in the private chat mode in internet bridge.
The first time was when I was partnering someone new to me who insisted on rebidding his suit again and again despite me having nothing for him, nor having encouraged him in any way. I knew we were going to get whacked (a.k.a wet) and was moved to complain privately to a friend 'L' who was at the table as an observer.
Her advice was frank and absolutely correct. The exchange went as follows:
will to L: partner keeps on bidding spades despite me showing no support at all !
L to will: well F him and pass
Another time, my friend was an opponent. His partner trumped his winner and I couldn't for the life of me see the advantage of that move. Nor could he who sent me this private message:
